Before you call.
Someone called saying my computer has a virus. What do I do?
Hang up. Real tech companies don’t call you out of the blue, and that is a common scam. Don’t install anything they ask for. Then call us at (778) 288-3053 and we’ll check your computer for you.
Can my son or daughter arrange help for me?
Yes. Family members can call us to book a visit or a remote session for you. Just call, and we’ll arrange a time that works for both of you.
Is it safe to let you on my computer remotely?
Yes. Sessions run on VM Tech’s own server in Canada, the connection is encrypted, and you watch everything we do. You can end the session with one click at any time.
Do you come to me?
Yes. We do on-site visits for homes and businesses across Greater Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. If a problem can be fixed remotely, we’ll tell you, so you don’t wait for a visit you don’t need.
Do you help regular people, or only businesses?
Both. We fix family laptops and set up home cameras just as happily as we run IT for restaurants, salons and offices.
I’m not good with technology. Will you be patient with me?
Always. That’s what we’re here for. Describe the problem in your own words, and we’ll go at your pace and explain each step. Ask as many questions as you like.
